Montessori activities, done the right way

The full library of authentic Montessori primary activities — sequenced, demonstrated, and ready for your home — lives inside the Montessori Life Skills App.

Complete primary curriculum

Stop collecting activity ideas. Start following the curriculum.

Lists of Montessori activities are useful, but they do not tell you when your child is ready, what order to present them in, or how to demonstrate each step so the child can work independently. The App does.

  • Built by AMI-trained teacher Kerry Howard from 40+ years in the classroom
  • Weekly sequenced plans for ages 2–6
  • Step-by-step video demonstrations
  • Readiness checks for every activity
  • Covers all eight areas: practical life, sensorial, math, language, botany, geography, science, and art

Why the App works

What a list of ideas cannot give you

Sequenced, not scattered

Every activity is placed in the order a child is actually ready for it. No guessing which presentation comes next.

Demonstrated step by step

Watch how to set the tray, present in silence, and hand the work to the child — exactly as it is shown in an AMI classroom.

Readiness checks built in

Each activity tells you what to watch for so you know your child is ready, and what to offer when they have mastered it.

All eight curriculum areas

Practical life, sensorial, math, language, botany, geography, science, and art — the complete Montessori primary curriculum for ages 2–6.

Common questions about Montessori activities

What are Montessori activities?

Purposeful, self-correcting work with real objects that a child can complete from start to finish. The value is not the finished task — it is the concentration, coordination, and independence the child builds while doing it. The Montessori Life Skills App breaks each one down into the exact tray, the silent presentation, and the readiness signs.

How do I present a Montessori activity at home?

Show it once, slowly, with very few words. Then hand the work to the child completely and let the material correct the errors. The App demonstrates this for every activity so you can watch first, then present with confidence.

Do I need to buy Montessori materials?

Most practical-life and grace-and-courtesy activities use ordinary household objects in child-sized versions. The App tells you exactly what you need before you begin, and only suggests buying specific sensorial or language materials once the daily routines are established.

How many activities should be out at once?

Six to eight complete activities on a low shelf is ideal for a 2–6 year old. Rotate slowly — a child returns to the same work many times before they are truly finished with it. The App plans the week for you so the shelf stays fresh without overwhelming either of you.
